Our new Everyday History Trail Guide

Our 2026 Heritage Open Day saw the launch of a new printed Trail Guide. that will enhance tours and visitor experiences as well as forming a pathway to training a new generation of tour guides.

The new guide is titled “Everyday History”, which was the national theme for the event.

This A3, (folded to A5) guide joins two others, launched at the 2025 Heritage Open Day, titled “Architecture and History” and “Nature and Wildlife”.

The illustrated colour guides, include a map showing the locations for “trail stops” (18 for the two “History” guides and 13 for the “Nature”).
