Removing and recycling a 500 kilo tree stump

Following the rebuilding of the Pullan Memorial our forestry and building team moved to the area to the right removing stumps and none native saplings throughout 2023.

The next stage, commencing in January 2024 was the removal of a 500 kilo weight tree stump next to the Pullan Memorial.

In January/February 2024 work commenced on excavating the giant tree stump and culminated in March 2024 with the removal (using slings, chains and ratchets) of the stump and its relocation to our wildlife stumperies some 70 metres away.

Work continued in April 2024 to rebuild the graves that had been disturbed by the stump and also by subsidence.
