The first three months

Making the entrance safe and accessible

In April 2019 the then owner of the Rehoboth deeds kindly gave permission to conduct essential safety work whilst conveyancing and contract finalisation was completed.

Once permission was granted, work started on clearing the entrance and making the space safe for our volunteers.

The selection of photographs clearly shows the challenge a small number of our volunteers tackled; first clearing the growth on the inside of the gates, then creating a narrow path within the roots to eventually link the entrance to the overgrown Carriage Road.

By June 2019, and before the official opening ceremony there was a basic path, passable with care and gates that now opened.
