Remembering Eric Jarvis
Lots of things came together yesterday, Sunday 21st June, it was the Summer Solstice; the longest day of the year, with close to 18 hours of daylight; it was also Father’s Day; it was dry and sunny and it was the day we dedicated our first volunteer’s memorial plaque to Eric Jarvis, who passed away in late February.
We had agreed with Eric’s family and loved ones an area by our top perimeter wall that looks down the slope where our new bereavement plots are located.
The area is west facing so the last rays of evening sunshine will reflect off the highly polished plaque; underneath the plaque is a terracotta planter also in memory of Eric.
Our tribute to Eric can be seen in full at the website link below, which will be updated with photographs of the dedication during the coming weeks.

The photographs below show the family members, loved ones and volunteers who all attended.
We would especially like to thank all those who prepared the dedication area and planned the event.
To quote from the plaque:
A great man with a big heart of gold
He will be sadly missed
If you would like to visit this area of the Rehoboth, which will shortly have a second plaque, dedicated to founder trustee, Aubrey John Isles, please just let us know or call down during one of our work sessions on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday,
