Our Grave Markers now total 319

We discovered in 2020 that around 25% of the graves in the Rehoboth (over 400) have no visible marker or a commemoration of the person / people buried in the grave.

They are predominantly people who passed away in the 20th century and where a wooden marker may possibly have been originally placed.

We decided to pay tribute to the Rehoboth’s unmarked graves with metal Commemorative Grave Markers, which are affixed with a dedication plaque in either gold or silver on one side and a numbered disc on the other, which identifies the plot number.

The Commemorative Grave Markers are made locally and are 19 inches tall (when fitted) and 13 inches wide.

In September 2026, we completed the planting of our sixth set of 54 grave markers making a total of 319 positioned on previously unmarked graves.
